Gilani`s son wins bye-election from Multan
Ali Musa Gilani won the bye-election from the Multan seat vacated by former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Islamabad: Ali Musa Gilani, the son of
Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday won the
bye-election from the Multan parliamentary seat vacated by
former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Pakistan`s Election Commission declared Ali Musa Gilani
the winner who was among three other candidates elected to the
National Assembly or lower house of parliament.
The two other victorious candidates are Natasha Daultana
of the ruling Pakistan People`s Party and Syed Mustafa Mahmood
of the PML-F.
Gilani`s son had contested the bye-election from Multan
in Punjab province that was vacated by Qureshi when he
resigned from the PPP to join Imran Khan’s party.
