Hezbollah terrorist arrested in Karachi

A Hezbollah terrorist was arrested in Pak`s Karachi and a Kalashnikov rifle along with two hand grenades was seized from his possession.

Karachi: A Hezbollah terrorist was on Saturday
arrested in Pakistan`s commercial hub of Karachi and a
Kalashnikov rifle along with two hand grenades was seized from
his possession, security officials have said.

Abid Bangash was arrested by the Crime Investigation
Department (CID) police after an encounter in the commercial
area of Tariq Road.

A Kalashnikov and two hand grenades were also seized from
his possession.

CID officials said that the terrorist was wanted in
connection with various bank robberies and other incidents of
violence.

Bangash has been shifted to an undisclosed location for
further interrogation.

The CID police last month also claimed arresting a top
Taliban commander, Fazal Mehsud from the Kemari port area of
the city.

Weapons were also seized from his possession.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) CID
Operations Fayyaz Khan, Mehsud was associated with the banned
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan faction.

The alleged Taliban commander was a close associate of
the head of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Baitullah Mehsud and
Commander Faiz Muhammad.
