Islamabad: A Hindu trader was kidnapped by unidentified armed men in the restive Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan on Wednesday, police said.
Vijay Kumar was on his way home when he was kidnapped from the main bazar of Mastung town last evening.
The armed men took him away at gunpoint to an unknown location.
Members of the minority Hindu community had organised a demonstration outside the Balochistan assembly last month to protest the abduction and killing of a Hindu trader.
Dozens of Hindus have been kidnapped for ransom in Balochistan over the past two years.
