Islamabad: A Hindu trader has been shot dead
by alleged extortionists in Pakistan`s restive Balochistan
prompting fellow community members to block the main
Karachi-Quetta highway.
Seth Ado Mal, who was also an ex-councillor, was opening
his shop in main Hub town when armed assailants, after an
argument, opened fire on him, police officials were quoted as
saying by `The Express Tribune` daily.
The business community closed their shops and businesses
in protest, while members of the Hindu community blocked the
main Karachi-Quetta highway.
Mal was shot 700 kilometres south-west of Quetta.
