Islamabad: Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan on Tuesday sought dismissal of a contempt notice issued to him by Pakistan`s Supreme Court, saying he had not committed contempt or spread hatred against judges.

He submitted a 21-page reply to the apex court a day before the second hearing of the case by a bench led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.

Khan had appeared in court on August 2 and submitted a brief written reply.

Sixty-year-old Khan had been issued a contempt notice by the court over his public remarks against the judiciary and judges.

In the notice, the Supreme Court said Khan had tried to incite hatred against judges in an interaction with the media.

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief later said the statement was made in good faith and aimed against presiding officers for the May 11 general election, not the judiciary.

Describing his earlier responses as "insufficient", the apex court had adjourned the hearing till August 28 and asked Khan`s counsel to submit a comprehensive response at the next hearing.
