Islamabad: Supporters of Imran Khan on Sunday clashed during distribution of Eid gifts by the party's women wing at the site of ongoing protests at D-Chowk here.

Minor scuffles broke out and people used chairs and sticks to attack each other when the women wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) started distributing gifts today, a day before the Eid festival.

Heated arguments, snatching of gifts and use of abusive language was reported from the site where cricketer-turned-politician Khan has been leading a sit-in demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over alleged rigging of elections in 2013.

Some of the enraged PTI activists also misbehaved with the media crew present at the site and tried to stop them from covering the brawl.
