India gifts 20 ambulances, 4 buses to Nepal

India on Sunday gifted 20 ambulances and 4 buses to different charitable organisations in Nepal amid the celebration of Indian Independence Day.

Kathmandu: India on Sunday gifted 20
ambulances and 4 buses to different charitable organisations
in Nepal amid the celebration of Indian Independence Day.

Some 2,500 people including diplomats, Indian
nationals, journalists and business entrepreneurs attended the
64th Independence Day programme organised in the premises of
Indian Embassy of Kathmandu.

On the occasion Government of India gifted 20
ambulances and 4 buses to different medical institutions and
charitable organisations.

The Indian Embassy also presented books to 25
different educational institutions.

Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood on the occasion read out
message from President Pratibha Patil on the 64th Independence
Day of India. Ambassador Sood also released Bhu Poo 2010,
annual publication by Indian Army Ex-servicemen Welfare
Organisation. Indian national anthem was also presented on the
occasion.
