Mumbai: Security expert Qamar Agha on Saturday urged the international community to mount pressure on Pakistan to arrest Dawood Ibrahim and hand him over to India.
"It is high time that Pakistan arrests him and hands over to India. There is a need for the international community to mount pressure on Pakistan to arrest him," Agha told a news agency here.
Earlier this week, a western intelligence agency had revealed that it had taped a conversation between Dawood and a real estate agent of Dubai, which proves that the underworld don is based in Karachi.
Agha further said that Dawood was wanted both by India and the United States.
"Dawood has committed many crimes here in Mumbai and he was involved in the bomb blasts of the nineties. He is a major funder of the many known terrorist organisations based in Pakistan which are waging war against India. Dawood has been wanted not only by India but also by the American government, he has been dubbed as a terrorist," he said.
