Landslide kills seven in Nepal

Seven persons, including three children, were killed in a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall buried a small village in western Nepal.

Kathmandu: Seven persons, including three
children, were killed in a landslide triggered by incessant
rainfall buried a small village in western Nepal.

The seven, who were missing after a landslide in
Bajura district last night, were found dead this morning,
reports said.

Meanwhile, one person was rescued alive, Republica.com
reported.

Rescue teams have been sent to the area, Chief
District Officer Yogendra Prasad Pandeya said adding that the
rescue operation has been hampered by continuous rain.
