Low intensity blasts rock Lahore, Peshawar

Low intensity blasts rock Lahore, Peshawar Lahore/Peshawar: Low-intensity bomb blasts rocked the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Peshawar on Monday though there were no casualties, police said.

Three blasts occurred in the Township area of Lahore late tonight. One bomb went off outside the home of a Deputy Superintendent of Police, destroying his car.

Another blast occurred outside the office of a bomb disposal unit, destroying a wall, while the third explosion went off outside the Minhaj-ul-Quran University, where a large number of people gather during the Islamic holy month of Ramzan.

In Peshawar, a bomb went off outside a private residence in Gulshanabad Colony. Police cordoned off the area and blocked roads. Policemen and experts of the bomb disposal squad conducted a search.
