Maj Gen Bajwa new chief spokesman of Pak military

Islamabad: Maj Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa on Monday took over as the chief spokesman of the Pakistani military.

Bajwa, who was commissioned in the Punjab Regiment in March 1984, assumed charge as Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations after the retirement of Maj Gen Athar Abbas.

The new Spokesman has held several command, staff and instructional appointments, including command of an infantry brigade group and a strike infantry division.
He earlier served as deputy military secretary to the President.
