Malik’s confession: Pak law and order ‘not ideal` Lahore: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said though the law and order in the country had improved, it is not yet ideal.

Speaking on the occasion of Iqbal Day, Malik called for unity among all segments of society as Pakistan is passing through a very critical phase.

He rejected the notion that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was playing the role of a friendly opposition, the Dawn reports.

Malik also clarified that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had never used unparliamentary language against anyone.

“We are totally against such people, who go to that extent. If anyone has objection on any issue, he must take it up in the Parliament,” he said.

“We want to stabilise Pakistan,” he said, adding that India- Pak ties has now improved.

Malik also stressed the need for promoting a poet Allama Iqbal’s philosophy among the youth, as it is “basis of Pakistan’s creation.”
