Lahore: The alleged mastermind of several deadly bomb blasts in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore has been arrested, police said on Sunday.
Qari Azmat, the alleged mastermind of bomb attacks at Moon Market, RA Bazar, Babu Sabu and Jamia Naeemia that killed scores of people, was arrested during a joint operation conducted on the outskirts of Lahore by police and intelligence agencies, a senior police officer said.
The officer, who did not want to be named, said: "Qari Azam has been shifted to an undisclosed place for questioning."
He said law enforcement agencies had been looking for Azam after another accused revealed his name.
