NATO service member killed in Afghanistan

NATO says one of its service members has been killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan.

Kabul: NATO says one of its service members
has been killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan.

NATO said the service member died today. It did not
release the casualty`s nationality or provide further details.

The death brings to 11 the number of international troops
killed in Afghanistan so far this year. A French soldier was
killed yesterday by a roadside bomb in Kapisa province east of
Kabul.

Last year was the deadliest for international troops in
the nearly decade-long war, with more than 700 killed.
