NATO supply tanker destroyed in Peshawar

Peshawar: A tanker ferrying fuel to NATO
forces in Afghanistan was destroyed in a blaze on the
outskirts of this northwestern Pakistani city on Monday.

Police said the cause of the fire that engulfed the
tanker in Ring Road area here was yet to be ascertained.

However, eyewitnesses said the vehicle went up in
flames after some unidentified gunmen opened at fire at it.

Officials said the fire spread to a nearby hotel and
shop before the fire service extinguished the flames and
preventer further destruction.
