NATO tankers attacked again in northwest Pakistan

A group of militants Monday attacked two tankers ferrying oil to NATO and allied forces in Afghanistan, injuring three persons in the process in Nowshera district of northwest Pakistan.

Afghanistan, injuring three persons in the process in Nowshera
district of northwest Pakistan.

About eight militants travelling in two vehicles
attacked the tankers when they were parked along the G T Road
in Nowshera district, police said.

The attackers fled the scene after firing at the
tankers.

Two drivers and a helper were injured in the firing.

They were taken to a hospital in Peshawar.

Militants have targeted tankers and container trucks
transporting supplies and fuel to Afghanistan on at least
three occasions in the same area in the recent past.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
