Kathmandu: Large number of Muslims on Friday
disrupted traffic in the Nepalese capital in protest against
the failure of the government to bring to justice the killers
of Faizal Ahamad, a leader of the minority community in the
Ahmad, general secretary of Nepal Muslim Association, was
shot dead by unidentified gunmen on September 26 while
returning from prayer near the Jama Masjid in the heart of the
Hundreds of Muslims took out a rally in Kathmandu and
demanded the resignation of Home Minister Bijaya Kumar
Gachhadar for the government’s failure to arrest the culprits.
They also obstructed traffic for two hours.
