No repentance over Bugti killing, Lal Masjid operation: Musharraf

Former Pak president vowed to act in same way if got another chance to rule.

New York: Former Pakistan president Pervez Mushrraf has said that neither does he regret the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti and the attack on the Lal Mosque, nor will he offer any apology over those actions.

Addressing a gathering of his own faction of the Muslim League in New York, Musharraf vowed that he would act in the same way if got another chance to rule, the Daily Times reported.

No girl or woman was killed in the Lal Masjid and Jama Hafsa operation, he claimed.

Musharraf said that while on one hand Nawaz chanted slogan of ‘Jaag Punjabi Jaag’ to accumulate votes in Punjab and on the other hand, he had worn criminal silence over the killings of Punjabis in Balochistan, The News reported.

He also accused the formed prime minister of handing refuge to Talal Bugti in Lahore whom (Bugti) he termed a ‘lawbreaker’.

The supporters of PML-N and APML were also present on the occasion and were chanting slogans against chiefs of both parties.
