New York: US President Barack Obama would
co-chair a meeting of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan here
tomorrow along with his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali
Zardari and British Premier Gordon Brown.
"The three leaders look forward to discussing with
their counterparts continued international support for the
people and democratic government of Pakistan in addressing a
range of economic, security and humanitarian challenges," the
White House said in a statement today.
As many as 26 countries and international
institutions, including the co-chairs, will participate in the
Summit held in New York on the sidelines of the UN General
Assembly meeting, the statement said.
