One killed in blast in northwest Pak

A bomb went off near a cattle market in northwest Pakistan, killing one person and injuring several others, police said.

Peshawar: A bomb went off near a cattle
market in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday, killing one person and
injuring several others, police said.

The bomb, planted in a donkey cart, exploded near the
weekly cattle market at Qazi Pul in Charsadda district of
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

The owner of the donkey cart was killed by the blast and
several others were injured, police said.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast.

Charsadda is home district of Asfandyar Wali Khan, the
chief of the Awami National Party that rules
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
