A Pak court has adjourned till Dec 7 the hearing of a petition filed by disgraced nuke scientist A Q Khan challenging his security protocol.

Lahore: A Pakistani court today adjourned
till December 7 the hearing of a petition filed by disgraced
nuclear scientist A Q Khan challenging his security protocol
after hearing arguments from his counsel and a government
lawyer.

The Lahore High Court had earlier directed the
government and Khan to mutually resolve differences over the
security arrangements put in place for the scientist but the
two sides were unable to do so.

Though Khan was declared a "free man" by the Islamabad
High Court earlier this year, security agencies continue to
maintain a strict check on his movements and activities.

During today`s hearing, Khan`s lawyer Ali Zafar said
the government had appealed against an interim order of a
court setting aside the security arrangements though this
could not be done under the law.

The Lahore High Court had suspended a single-judge
bench`s decision to lift curbs on Khan`s movements following
an appeal by the federal government.

Khan has claimed in his petition that he is leading a
"prisoner`s life" due to the restrictions on his movements.
