Pak embassy in US receiving threats since Osama’s death: Haqqani
Osama bin Laden`s killing has generated fears of retribution for Pak, US.
Islamabad: Pakistan`s envoy to the United States Husain Haqqani has revealed that Pakistan embassy is receiving continuous threats after the death of terror mastermind, Osama bin Laden.
His killing by the US troops near Islamabad has generated fears of retribution for Pakistan and United States.
He felt Pakistan`s efforts in curbing terrorism are not being duly acknowledged and informed that Pakistan has detained several people who were allegedly assisting bin Laden. Haqqani also said that an inquiry has been ordered into how bin Laden managed to survive undetected near Islamabad.
Talking to Dunya News, he said Pakistan would aid the US in the efforts of curbing extremism.
