Attari (Amritsar): Pakistan national
Akhtar Ali, a resident of Karachi, was today sent to his
country through the international border here after serving
two years imprisonment for violating visa norms.
Ali had come to India by air in 2007 on a 10 days visa
to Mumbai but stayed back in the country despite the expiry of
his visa, according to an official at the border.
He was arrested by the police and sentenced to two
years imprisonment by a court. He served his sentence in Tihar
jail in the national capital, the official said.
