Peshawar: Pakistani security forces on Monday
arrested four pro-Taliban militants during a search operation
in the restive Bajaur tribal region and warned other
terrorists that they would face "strict action" if they failed
to surrender by June 30.
Acting on a tip-off, troops conducted a search operation
at Thangi, 12 km from Bajaur Agency`s main town of Khar, and
apprehended the four militants.
The security forces set June 30 as the deadline for
militants to lay down arms and surrender.
Government will take strict action against militants
after the expiry of the deadline, officials said.
Property of militants will be confiscated and their
families will be expelled from Bajaur Agency if they do not
surrender, they said.
