Lahore: PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after a lengthy stay in London to convalesce following emergency heart surgery.
Senior PML-N leaders and parliamentarians received the former premier at Allama Iqbal Airport here.
However, party workers were not invited to the airport to greet their leader who drove from the airport to his residence at Raiwind.
Asif Kirmani, Sharif's personal secretary, said he was hale and hearty and would resume political activities soon.
Sharif will preside over a joint session of the PML-N central parliamentary party and central organising committee to be held in Islamabad on May 10, he said.
The meeting will review the political situation in the country, Kirmani said.
