Pak Taliban denies offering safe-passage for Imran’s peace march

TTP spokesman has denied reports suggesting that they had assured a safe-passage for Imran Khan`s ‘peace march’ through their tribal stronghold.

Islamabad: Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman has reportedly denied reports suggesting that they had assured a safe-passage for Paksitan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s (PTI) ‘peace march’ through their tribal stronghold.

“Our men are too important give an escort to the likes of Imran Khan,” said spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan.

According to the Daily Times Ahsan also described ‘two kinds of politicians’ in Pakistan-‘Those who were in power and those were not’.

“The ones in the power i.e. Peoples Party of Pakistan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and Awami National Party are anti-TTP, whereas the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf are not in the power, but are secular and Westernophiles in their mentality”, Ahsanullah said.
He further said that TTP would never come out for a Westernophile like Imran Khan.

“The agenda of PTI’s peace march is not what it claims to be. There is more what meets the eye in their case. It’s only a gimmick to gain political mileage”, Ashanullah added.
