Pak Taliban dismisses reports of Chief Mullah Fazlullah's death

Proscribed militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has dismissed reports that claimed its chief Mullah Fazlullah was among those killed in fresh air and ground raids in parts of Khyber Agency's Tirah Valley.

Karachi: Proscribed militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has dismissed reports that claimed its chief Mullah Fazlullah was among those killed in fresh air and ground raids in parts of Khyber Agency's Tirah Valley.

TTP spokesperson Mohammad Khorasani rejected the claims by terming the report "a complete lie" and "totally baseless," reported The Express Tribune.

He added that only three members belonging to the outfit were killed in the strikes and claimed inflicting losses on the security forces.

The offensive was launched on Sunday and killed at least 20 militants while injuring eight others.

Ground troops and helicopter gunships targeted several areas of the valley, including Maza Tal, Sookh, Khyber Sanger and Sandan .

Several militant hideouts were also destroyed, sources said.
