Peshawar: A member of the Pakistani Taliban`s negotiating team on Friday accused the government of not being serious in peace talks.

Maulana Yousaf Shah, coordinator claimed that Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leaders were serious in peace talks but the government`s attitude towards peace process was not serious.

Shah urged the government and Taliban to show seriousness in talks, saying that the Taliban committee still hoped that peace process would be revived very soon.

He claimed the committee was in contact with the Taliban Shura.

The Pakistan government has been trying to negotiate a peace deal with the banned militant group to find a solution to the decade-long insurgency that has claimed over 40,000 lives.
