Islamabad: Forty-eight Indian fishermen have been arrested for allegedly fishing illegally in Pakistan`s territorial waters, a media report said.
Pakistan`s Maritime Security Agency (MSA) arrested the Indian fishermen and seized eight boats. The agency took action against Indian fishermen late Thursday night, the Dawn newspaper quoted a spokesman of the MSA on Friday.
He said the fishermen were interrogated and later handed over to the Docks police.
This is the fourth such seizure by the MSA in September and a total 94 fishermen have been arrested and 21 boats seized, he added.
