Beijing: Pakistan and China have a mechanism in place for intelligence sharing and are working closely to stamp out the scourge of terrorism, visiting Pakistani Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan has said.
She arrived here on Sunday after attending the China-Eurasia Forum in Urumqi last week.
Terrorists keep on "changing their strategies, so we must also change our actions, and that can only be done through close coordination and mutual understanding", Awan said.
The Pakistani government is focusing on strengthening the economy so that people from both sides could reap the benefits, the official APP news agency quoted her as saying.
She added that media can play an important role in deepening the bond between the two countries.
She said that her government is exploring the possibilities of broadcasting Pakistani programmes such as dramas and documentaries on arts and culture in China.
In a similar way, she said Pakistan also wants close collaboration between Radio Pakistan and China Radio International (CRI).
