Islamabad: Pakistan issued a commemorative postage stamp Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of Communist China, and Beijing`s envoy described Sino-Pakistani relations as "higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the Arabian sea and sweeter than honey".
Federal Minister for Postal Services Nawabzada Mir Israr Ullah Khan Zehri and China`s ambassador Luo Zhaohui unveiled the stamp issued by the Pakistan Post at its headquarters here.
Zehri said that Pakistan-China friendship spanned over half a century and was imbued by a high degree of trust and commonality of interests.
"The all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of time and has prospered notwithstanding changes in the international, regional and domestic environment," he said.
Zhaohui said that Sino-Pakistan relations were time-tested and multi-dimensional. He said Pakistan stood by China when most Western countries tried to isolate Beijing.
