Pakistan`s foreign minister to start Gulf tour next week

Qureshi`s visit will be primarily to launch aid appeal for Pak flood victims.

Dubai: Pakistan`s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will embark on an official visit to the Gulf countries of Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain from Monday.

According to Kuwait`s official news agency KUNA, the visit will be primarily to launch an aid appeal to the Gulf countries for the flood victims of Pakistan.

The foreign minister will be conveying a special message from the Pakistani leadership to the Kuwaiti leadership, pointing out that the discussions will also focus on bilateral relations and measures to enhance the current level of cooperation between the two states in various fields.
Most of the Gulf countries have pledged financial and material aid to Pakistan in response to the devastating floods that plague the country.
