Islamabad: Pakistan`s new army chief, Gen Raheel Sharif, has stressed on the importance of professionalism in dealing with challenges, a media report said Saturday.
Gen Sharif was chairing his first corps commanders` meeting Friday after becoming the new army chief Nov 29. He succeeded Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who headed the army for six years.
Pakistan`s internal and external security situation was discussed in the meeting, Dawn reported.
According to the daily`s report, the meeting was described as "take charge meeting" where the general told his men that he wanted to see professional excellence in dealing with challenges.
