Pak`s Hina Rabbani reviews security of nuke assets

Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khan on Monday reviewed efforts to augment the security of nuke assets.

Rabbani Khan on Monday reviewed efforts to augment the security of
the country`s nuclear and radioactive materials and to further
tighten export controls.

Khar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting in the Foreign
Ministry that was briefed on the "deployment of Special
Nuclear Material Portals" at key exit and entry points to
"deter, detect and prevent illicit trafficking of nuclear and
radioactive materials", said a brief statement from the
Foreign Office.

The meeting was part of Pakistan`s efforts to "augment the
security of nuclear and radioactive materials and to further
strengthen export controls", the statement said without giving
details.
