The second resolution, which was targeted at former President General Pervez Musharraf, said that after returning from exile, Benazir Bhutto had categorically declared that Musharraf would be held responsible were she to be assassinated. She was killed on December 27, 2007.

According to the PPP, conspiracies are in place to save him from murder trials. The resolution demanded stringent action and a fair trial of the case.`No favour should be extended to Musharraf for being a former army chief`, it said.
