Qatar sign military cooperation pact with Pakistan

Pak and Qatar had recently agreed to expand bilateral ties on trade, economy.

Dubai: Qatar has signed a military cooperation agreement with Pakistan.
However, the details of the agreement were not made available.

The agreement was signed yesterday between Qatari Armed Forces Chief of Staff Maj Gen Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah and Pakistan`s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Tariq Majeed.

Pakistan and Qatar had recently agreed to expand bilateral ties on trade, economy and banking sectors while Pakistan would be sending additional labour force to Qatar.

The signing ceremony was attended by Pakistani Ambassador in Doha Muhammad Asghar Afridi and a number of high ranking armed forces officers.

The Qatari Chief of Staff met with Gen Majeed to discuss relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them.
