Peshawar: An earthquake of moderate
intensity rocked this north-western Pakistani city and its
surrounding areas this afternoon, officials said.
The local meteorological office said the quake
measuring on the 5.7 on the Richter scale was also felt in
Islamabad and northern areas at 2.30 pm.
The epicentre of the quake was in Kazik Jaam area of
Tajikistan.
There were no reports of human or material losses.
