Islamabad: Pakistani law enforcement
agencies on Saturday said they had detained four suspects and seized
a cache of arms and ammunition during a raid on the home of
the son of slain Baloch nationalist leader Akbar Bugti in
southwestern Quetta city.
A team of policemen and Frontier Corps personnel raided
the residence of Jamil Akbar Bugti on the outskirts of Quetta,
the capital of Balochistan province, police officials said.
The officials said they had found 133 remote controlled
explosive devices, three grenades, 100 rifles, two light
machine guns, a sub machine gun and 4,000 rounds of ammunition
during the raid.
The identity of the four persons taken into custody
from Bugti’s residence could not immediately be ascertained.
