Peshawar: A rocket fired by unidentified
assailants slammed into an area on the outskirts of this city
on Wednesday though no loss of life or property was reported.
The rocket went off with a loud bang when it landed
beside a road in the Chamkani area at 7.30 am.
Local residents said no one was present in the area at
the time of the explosion.
The bomb disposal squad said the blast was caused by a
rocket fired from an unknown location.
Police lodged a complaint against unidentified militants
for the blast.
Peshawar has witnessed several devastating bombings and
suicide attacks since October that have killed hundreds of
people.
