‘Rs 1 million reward for Musharraf`s head’

Islamabad: Days ahead of Pervez Musharraf’s anticipated return to Pakistan from self-exile, tribal leader Shahzain Bugti, whose grandfather Nawab Bugti was killed during Musharraf’s regime, has announced bounty for the former president.

Shahzain Bugti was quoted as saying on Monday, “We will give Rs 1 million in cash and a bungalow worth Rs 100 million to anybody who kills Musharraf. And we’ll also provide him full security.”

Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in Balochistan in 2006. The operation was ordered by the then Army chief and president Pervez Musharraf.

Shahzain is also a leader of his grandfather’s Jamhoori Watan Party. Calling for hanging Musharraf, he said, “The gallows are ready for Musharraf. There will be serious consequences, if the government does not arrest him upon his arrival.”

Musharraf has announced that he will be returning to Pakistan at the end of this month to contest elections.

Why are there so many fanatic people in pakistan. Certain things happen because of some drastic decisions of the govt does it mean you want the head of that person. This person should be immediately arrested. Democracy in pakistan is a must if the country wanna grow and improve relations with other nations. But again i wonder is this the same Gen Musharraf who overthrown Nawaz Sharif now he talks about democracy..

Karan i second your opinion about Musharraf talking about democracy, when he himself was a mastermind of the military coup. But i disagree about many people in Pakistan are Fanatics. You cant label these fanatics by a nationality or a religion. These so called extremist fanatics are in every country and religion. Be it in India, Pakistan or any other country. Its a certain mindset which definitely is harmful for the human race.I think but these fanatics flourish under the flags of extremist groups and parties. And according to me, you might disagree but Bugti tribe is funded/supported by the indian intelligenc agency RAW. Just like Daud Imbrahim or Hafiz Saeed are funded by the ISI. Or take Bal Thakray for an example. Now if i ask you why are there fanatics in India? We will get into an infinite debate with no results. So we the people of India and Pakistan have to condemn such activities/support our govt and agencies give to such people. I respect Mr. Gandhi`s saying that an eye for an eye will make the whole world but at times one has to fight, to end the fighting. Its a sad irony but true.
