Senior official in Pak`s Quetta city kidnapped

No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.

Islamabad: A senior official was
kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Quetta city of southwest
Pakistan on Thursday, police said.

Abdul Rauf, a Chief Engineer in the Water Resources
and Power Development Authority, was abducted this morning in
satellite town area of Quetta.

Rauf was on his way to office when the armed men
intercepted his vehicle and took him away to an unknown
location.

Police cordoned off the area and launched a search to
trace Rauf.

No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
