 At least six Afghan soldiers were killed and 12 injured Thursday as a suicide bomber targetted a bus carrying army personnel on the outskirts of Kabul.

Kabul: At least six Afghan soldiers were killed and 12 injured Thursday as a suicide bomber targetted a bus carrying army personnel on the outskirts of Kabul.

According to a defence ministry statement, the attack took place in Tangi Tarakhil area, Xinhua reported.

The police said the casualties are likely to increase.

The Taliban militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
