Berlin: The German Army says six German soldiers have been wounded in a bomb attack in Afghanistan.
A spokesman for the Bundeswehr Operations Command in Potsdam said the attack on the German ISAF soldiers took place on Thursday morning in the province of Baghlan, around 35 kilometres south of the city of Kunduz.
The spokesman, who was talking on condition of anonymity in line with department policy, said the soldiers were in a German Marder tank when they were attacked.
The soldiers were currently being taking to the German base in Kunduz by helicopter. It was not clear how severely injured they were and who was behind the attack.
