At least six people were killed and 13 others injured when two groups clashed during a tribal assembly in Pakistan, media reported.

Islamabad: At least six people were killed and 13 others injured when two groups clashed during a tribal assembly in Pakistan, media reported.

A jirga, an assembly of tribal elderly people to take decision by consensus, was in progress to settle a land dispute in Khyber Agency`s Gaidu area when participants opened fire, Dawn online reported.

Six people were killed on the spot and 13 others sustained injuries.
The injured were taken to a hospital.
