Peshawar: Pakistani security forces arrested
a suspected suicide bomber while he was allegedly planting a
landmine on a road in the restive Mohmand tribal region on Monday.
The suspected suicide attacker, an Afghan national, was
nabbed in Koz Chamarkand area of Mohmand Agency. A suicide
vest was recovered from his possession, security officials
said.
The suspect was taken to Ghalanai, the headquarters of
Mohmand Agency, for interrogation, they said.
In a separate incident, a minor girl was killed and a
woman and a child were injured when a mortar shell fell on
their house in Alingaar area of Mohmand Agency, officials
said. It could not immediately be ascertained who had fired
the mortar shell.
