Nowshera: Taliban militants blew up a
state-run primary school in Pakistan's restive northwest today
though there were no casualties, police said.
The destruction of the school at Ziarat Kaka Sahib in
Nowshera district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province caused panic
among local residents.
Security forces conducted a search operation after the
blast and arrested eight suspects besides recovering arms from
them.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident but
such attacks are usually blamed on the Pakistani Taliban,
which is opposed to education for girls.
