The unmanned aircraft was shot down in the northeastern Kapisa province, Press TV reported citing a NATO statement.

The Taliban also claimed they have the wreckage of the drone.

The outfit claimed to have shot down several aircraft and NATO helicopters in different parts of Afghanistan in the past few months.
