Terrorist arrested in Peshawar

Pakistani police have claimed to arrest a wanted terrorist, carrying a bounty of Rs five lakhs during a raid in this northwestern city of Pakistan today.

Peshawar: Pakistani police have claimed to arrest a wanted terrorist, carrying a bounty of Rs five lakhs during a raid in this northwestern city of Pakistan today.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police carried out a raid on receiving information about presence of a terrorist named Alamzaib in Sarband area here.

Police said he was wanted in many cases including an attack on police party in 2009 following which The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had announced a reward of Rs five lakhs on his head.

He was shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation, police said.
