Three Indians arrested in Nepal for drug trafficking

Kathmandu: Three Indian nationals have
been arrested near the Nepal-India border for allegedly
carrying 150 kg of hashish.

The three were nabbed at Nagdhunga, the main land
entry point in the west of Kathmandu, while they were heading
towards the Indian border in a car carrying 150 kg of hashish
worth Rs 30 lakh, Narcotic Drug Control Unit said today.

The arrested, identified as Bichitra Kumar Yadav (25),
Yogesh Kumar Yadav (50) and Yogesh Kumar Yadav (50), are from
Uttar Pradesh.

Bichitra is the kingpin of a gang trafficking drugs
between Kathmandu and Uttar Pradesh for a long time, police
said.

Meanwhile, the Nepal police have arrested 11 more
local people, including a girl, for drug trafficking from
different parts of the capital city.

Over 58 kg of hashish, meant for export to different
countries from Nepal, had been recovered from them.
