Islamabad: Pakistani security forces
detained three men from the country`s restive northwest while
they were filming the naval and air force headquarters in the
federal capital on Tuesday.

The three suspects - identified as Saeed Khan, Shehzad
Khan and Akhtar Khan, all residents of Peshawar city - were
taken into custody in Sector F-8 sector near the naval
headquarters.

The men were taking pictures and filming sensitive
buildings in the area when they were spotted by security
personnel.

Officials seized cameras and mobile phones from the
three men, who were taken to an undisclosed location for
further investigation.

In December 2009, a suicide bomber blew himself up at
the gate of the naval headquarters in Islamabad, killing two
naval personnel policemen and injuring 13 others.

More recently, Taliban fighters stormed the PNS Mehran
naval airbase in Karachi, killing 10 security personnel and
destroying two P3C Orion surveillance aircraft.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility
for the attack but reports suggested the attackers had inside
help.
